چکیده
In this paper, we present a systematic review of the perturbed-chain statistical associating fluid theory equation state (PC-SAFT) EoS for thermodynamic modeling with application in asphaltene phase behavior simulation. The SAFT and its modified version known as PC-SAFT is briefly introduced. Then, uses tool highlighted. Crude oil characterization methods procedures are described focus on SARA-based method modeling. effects variations temperature pressure precipitation models discussed, well. An erroneous at low temperatures was noted literature number crudes. To address issue, summary approaches developed to deal such problems presented. effect other aspects accuracy binary interaction parameters, inclusion association term, polydispersity discussed. parameters have profound envelope. Inclusion term seems be especially promising developing more accurate models. Modeling fraction polydisperse entities greatly improves quality that aimed calculation amount precipitated asphaltenes. Finally, comparative studies between some provided.

Prediction of the Solubility of Benzoic Acid in Supercritical CO2 Using the PC-SAFT EoS
There are many difficulties in the purification of raw components and products. However, researchers are seeking better ways for purification. One of the recent methods is extraction using supercritical fluids. In this study, the phase equilibria of benzoic acid -supercritical carbon dioxide system were investigated. Regarding the phase equilibria of this system, the modeling of solid-supercrit...
متن کاملMinimum Miscibility Pressure Using the Multiple Mixing-cell Combined with the PC-SAFT Equation of State
The minimum miscibility pressure (MMP) is one of the crucial and substantial parameters in the gas injection projects for enhanced oil recovery (EOR). This parameter indicates the minimum pressure at constant temperature and composition conditions for reaching 100 percent of the oil production recovery which leads to a huge economic income. Therefore, an inaccurate prediction of the MMP may lea...
متن کاملCharacterization of Petroleum Crude Oils using Laser Induced Fluorescence
The use of laser induced fluorescence (LIF) spectroscopy to characterize crude oil has privileges compared to conventional techniques in terms of reducing the size of sample, rapidity of measurements, high sensitivity and simplicity of sample handling and possibility of in situ measurements. The fluorescence radiation emitted from crude oil is the result of the interaction between the aromatic ...
متن کاملAsphaltene Precipitation in Crude Oils: Theory and Experiments
The precipitation of asphaltenes in two Mexican crude oils was measured using a combination of high-pressure isothermal expansion and atmospheric titration with nalkanes. Experiments were carried out from the liveand tank-oil type of samples of the same crude oils. For the oils investigated, compositional data, precipitation phase diagrams, and bubble point pressures are reported. A theoretical...
